Privacy Policy

At Pwendier Selection, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what little information we process and why.

Our Commitment to Privacy

We believe in preserving literature — and we believe in preserving your privacy. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertisements, and we do not use third-party tracking cookies, pixels, or embedded scripts. Our site is designed to be a quiet place to read, not a data-collection engine.

What We Collect and Why

Website Cookies (Functional)

We use minimal cookies stored on your device to enhance your reading experience. These cookies are not used for tracking, advertising, or any commercial purpose. They simply remember your preferences for:

• Font size
• Background colour
• Display settings for translators, book commentaries, and tooltips (footnotes)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the functionality you choose. Without them, the site would not remember your reading preferences.

Hosting and Server Statistics

When you visit our site, our hosting provider automatically collects standard technical information to keep the site running securely and to generate anonymous usage statistics. This is standard practice for almost all websites.

This may include:

• Your IP address (anonymized where possible)
• The pages you visit
• The type of browser and device you use
• The time and date of your visit

Important: This data is collected by our hosting provider for server maintenance and aggregated statistical purposes only. We do not have access to personally identifiable information through this process, nor do we use it to identify individual visitors.

What We Do Not Collect or Use

Given the nature of our project, there are a number of things we explicitly do not do:

• No Third-Party Cookies: We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels (such as Facebook Pixel, X/Twitter Pixel, Pinterest Tag, or similar), or any other tracking technology from third-party companies.
• No Tracking Scripts: Our sharing buttons and footer links to Pinterest and Bluesky are implemented as simple, static HTML links. They do not load any external scripts, widgets, or embedded content that could track your activity across the web.
• No Personal Information:As we do not currently operate a newsletter, user accounts, or a contact form that stores data, we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information. (If you email us directly at our listed addresses, your email is handled by your email provider and ours, and is only used to respond to your query).
• No Data Selling or Sharing:We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for any reason.

External Links

Our website contains links to Pinterest and Bluesky for sharing and following purposes. These links are provided for your convenience and are implemented as simple HTML links — they do not load any tracking scripts from these platforms.

We do not control the privacy practices of these external sites, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before using them.

Your Consent

By using our website, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. However, please note that disabling certain functional cookies may affect your reading experience, such as losing your preferred font size.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
